DEUTSCH - APS at DGGT's 32nd exhibition in Mainz
Wille Geotechnik® in Mainz

The APS GmbH (Wille Geotechnik®) recently exhibited at the 32nd Baugrundtagung (construction conference and exhibition), the largest Geotechnical conference held by the German Geotechnical Society. This took place from the 26th to the 29th of September 2012 in Mainz, Germany, and provided an ideal opportunity for us to showcase our equipment and meet our major customers from various universities, research centers and private laboratories and construction companies.
Discussions on some of our most recent technical developments no doubt provided a useful insight for our customers in terms of our development process and high-quality standards.
Perhaps the biggest attraction at the show was the Tornado Motion SUBDREDGE. This full-size unit, as used in AMPOL’s Submerged Oil Recovery Operations (OSBORS), was on display and featured the remote control movement of its articulating suction attachment.
Additionally, Leo Guidroz, AMPOL’s Oil Stop Division Sales Manager, was one of the speakers at a Technical Session on New Technologies in Oil Spill Response. Here, Mr Guidroz talked of successes and lessons learned through the recent testing of OSBORS at OHMSETT.
We would like to thank the visitors of our booth who encouraged us with their enthusiastic words of praise to continue our technical developments in this field. The positive and personal customer feedback was a very important aspect of the conference for us, and we look forward to similar opportunities in the future.
Our new handEye software application for our Vision X3 measuring system was very positively received, as was the introduction of our new and improved CR500DA and CR510 Resistance Spot Welders. Both showcases were well attended, particularly by our collision repair customers, key OEM's and all Major National Account customers.
"The Expo was a great way for us to showcase our advanced Dynamic Asphalt testing system to our international customers”
