These types of consolidation cells were developed by Wille Geotechnik® to measure increasing swell pressure under saturated conditions without load frames for long-term tests.

Independent from swell pressure tests, standard incremental or continuous loading tests can be achieved in preliminary stages or after the swelling stage in combination with a suitable load frame.
